Deutsche Luft Hansa A.G. (named after the medieval Hanseatic League) was formed in 1926 and served as Germany's flag carrier until the end of WWII in 1945. In 1955, the name Lufthansa was carried over to a new West German airline, which still operates today as Europe's largest airline. This poster depicts a 1920s Junkers Ju.52 aircraft and the iconic Lufthansa Crane logo.
