La Compagnie Generale Aeropostale was a French air mail and passenger company that operated from 1918 to 1932, connecting France to its far-flung colonies in Africa and South America. Among its pioneering pilots was Antoine de Saint-Exupery, author of The Little Prince. This poster depicts a Latecoere-28 mail plane over the ksar (walled city) of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco.
